Naturopathic medicine is a health care system that blends modern scientific knowledge with traditional and natural forms of medicine. The naturopathic philosophy is to treat the underlying cause of disease and to assist in disease prevention.
Naturopathic treatments are chosen based on the individual patient – and all aspects of their physiological, structural, psychological, social, environment and lifestyle factors. In addition to diet and lifestyle changes, natural therapies including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic manipulation and traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture, may also be used during treatments.
Naturopathic Doctors in Ontario are regulated health professionals. They must have attended an accredited educational institution, obtain professional licensing, and uphold to national standards of practice.

Blood work and diagnostic testing
We may request a copy of any recent bloodwork that can assist in our treatment management. Naturopathic doctors can also provide you a requisition for bloodwork – though these tests are not covered through OHIP.
